Grads are the 'foundation' of knowledge...
Posted @ 08:48
Haha, so funny - check out today's PhD Comics! So I guess putting grad students in the basement can be seen as a symbolic move to represent the roots of all advancement in knowledge. Afterall, most university departments get their $$$ through research - and who does the staff rely on to get the results? Grad students!
Obviously, that interpretation is highly naive. The truth is, grad students get the worst space in a department. Why put a professor in a basement when you can squeeze about twenty into the same space? On well...
Wait a second..... I work in a basement office too!??!?
